Survive the Raknos in a dark moonbase and fight your way to the exit.
The moonbase has gone dark. Its corridors, store rooms and bio-labs now belong to the Raknos – tall, fast alien hunters with claws. You start in the south wing with the Chugshot, a heavy plasma shotgun, and one job: reach the exit on the far side of the base. The green arrow at the top of the screen always points the way.
ZOMBIE BIO is the web remake of DARK BIO, the PC game Prasansoft released in 2014. The moonbase level, the Raknos with all their animations, the Chugshot and the original sounds come from that game and were converted to run in the browser – every Raknos, ammo box and health pack stands exactly where it was in the original.
A Raknos that sees you roars, then sprints at you and slashes with its claws. Each blast of the Chugshot fires nine plasma pellets: deadly up close, weaker at range. You have 6 shells before you reload, so count your shots and pick up the green ammo boxes. Kill as many Raknos as you can for points, or run for the exit – the fastest escapes score the most.

Click PLAY to lock the mouse; press Esc to pause. Sound is on – turn it up for the Raknos roars.
Raknos, weapon and items
- Raknos – the alien hunters of the base, 30 in all. They stand still until they see or hear you, roar, then run at you along the corridors and claw for 9–15 damage. Two Chugshot hits at close range bring one down; a hit in the head does twice the damage.
- Chugshot – the original plasma shotgun: 9 pellets per shot, 6 shells per load, about one shot every third of a second. Aim at the chest or head and fire from close range.
- Ammo box (green) – +6 shells. There are 46 of them around the base, often near the store rooms.
- Health pack (red cross) – +50 health, up to 100. Only four in the whole base – save them for when you need them.
- Exit (green ring) – the escape point at the far end of the base. Step into the green light to win. Raknos guard the room.
Inside the moonbase
The south wing
You start in a long corridor next to the first store room. Collect the ammo boxes, get used to the controls and listen for the first roars.
The Raknos attack
Raknos run fast and hit hard. Back away while you shoot, keep them in front of you and never let two reach you at once.
Bio-labs and store rooms
Green bio tanks, oxygen bottles, steel trusses and lockers fill the rooms. Use them as cover: Raknos have to run around them.
The Chugshot
Every shot is a plasma blast of nine pellets. Up close almost all of them hit; at long range only a few do, and they do half damage.
The exit
The last room is guarded by heavy Raknos. Clear a path or sprint through – touching the green ring ends the game and adds your escape bonus.
Tips and tricks
- Follow the green arrow at the top of the screen – it always points to the exit.
- Walk backwards while you shoot: a Raknos needs to be within arm's reach to hit you.
- Shoot from close range. The Chugshot does half damage beyond about 12 metres.
- Aim at the head: a head hit does more than twice the damage and a head-shot kill is worth 750 points instead of 500.
- Reload (R) when the corridor is quiet, not in the middle of a fight – it takes about two seconds.
- Hold Shift to run. Speed matters: the faster you escape, the bigger the bonus.
- Keep the health packs for later – there are only four.

Is ZOMBIE BIO free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser with no download and no sign-up. Ads are shown only on the page below the game, never during play.
How is the score counted?
500 points for each Raknos (750 for a head-shot kill). Reaching the exit adds 5,000 points, a time bonus (10 points for every second under ten minutes) and 20 points for every point of health left. Good scores go into the world TOP 10.
How do I play on my phone?
Move with your left thumb (a joystick appears where you touch), drag on the right side to look around, and press FIRE and RELOAD. Push the joystick all the way to run.
Is this the original game?
It is the web remake. The original, called DARK BIO, was a PC game Prasansoft made with FPS Creator in 2014. This version uses the same moonbase, monsters, weapon and sounds, with a new engine that runs in any modern browser.
What happens when my health runs out?
The game ends and shows your kills, time and score. Press PLAY AGAIN to start a new run from the beginning.
