BLOCKO Guide: Scoring, QUADs and Tips for Every Level
BLOCKO is a free falling-blocks puzzle with glossy 3D blocks. Seven block shapes fall one at a time; fill a row from wall to wall and it disappears. This guide shows how scoring works and the habits that take you from level 1 to the fast levels.
The scoring table
| Clear | Points |
|---|---|
| 1 row | 100 × level |
| 2 rows | 300 × level |
| 3 rows | 500 × level |
| 4 rows – QUAD | 800 × level |
| T-spin (1/2/3 rows) | 800 / 1200 / 1600 × level |
| Back-to-back QUAD or T-spin | +50% |
| Combo (clears in a row) | +50 × combo × level |
| Soft drop / hard drop | 1 / 2 points per row |
The lesson is clear: one QUAD is worth more than three single rows together, so the best players build for QUADs.
How to set up a QUAD
- Keep one column empty – the far right or far left is easiest.
- Stack the other nine columns flat and fill four rows.
- Drop the long I piece (light blue) straight into the gap.

If the I piece takes a while to come, hold one: press C (or the HOLD button) when an I appears and you are not ready yet.
Use the ghost piece and hard drop
The transparent ghost shows exactly where the piece will land. Move and rotate until the ghost sits in the right spot, then press Space to hard-drop – it saves time and scores 2 points per row.

Keep the stack flat
- Holes under blocks are the main danger – a covered gap can't be cleared until the rows above it go.
- Lay S and Z pieces flat on matching steps, and use J and L for corners and edges.
- The O square never rotates: put it on flat ground.
- Watch the next three pieces and plan two moves ahead.
T-spins for experts
When a T piece is rotated into a tight gap that has blocks on at least three of its corners, the clear counts as a T-spin and scores far more. Leave a T-shaped slot, drop the T beside it and rotate it in at the last moment.
Surviving the fast levels

- From level 10, stop chasing QUADs when the stack is high – clear any row you can.
- Rotate early, while the piece is still at the top.
- Use the lock delay: a piece on the ground still slides for half a second.
