WorldWarII Guide: How to Beat All 12 Stages of the Compound and Reach the Top 10

WorldWarII is a free first-person World War II shooter that runs in your browser. Wehrmacht and SS troops hold a walled compound full of bombed farmhouses, wrecked tanks and guard towers, and you have to fight through 12 stages to the exit of each one. This guide covers every enemy, both guns and how to climb the world TOP 10.

MP40 and Tommy gun

You start with the MP40: a 32-round magazine, 120 spare rounds and about ten shots a second. A body shot does 22 damage and a headshot 66. The Tommy gun lies in the compound – it holds 30 rounds, fires faster and hits harder (28 / 80). Switch with 1, 2 or Q (GUN button on phones), hold the right mouse button to aim down the sights and press R to reload. Both guns share the same spare ammo.

Dodging rockets

An SS officer needs a few seconds between shots. When you see the rocket's glow, step sideways – it flies straight and explodes on the first wall it touches. The blast still hurts within about three metres, so do not stand next to a wall the rocket will hit. Right after a shot is the best time to rush him.

Stage 1: the original compound

The first stage is the compound from the original FPS Creator game, with all sixteen soldiers at their original posts. You start in the guard room; the door opens when you walk up to it. Snipers watch the long lanes between the walls, the machine-gunners and bazooka troops wait near the farmhouses.

Stages 2 to 12

Every later stage starts somewhere new, with the exit far away and 11 to 32 enemies of all five types. The time of day changes too: Morning Mist, Dusk Patrol, Night Raid, Fog of War, Burning Sky, Winter Front, Autumn Rain, Moonlight, Desert Sun, Smoke Storm and Final Assault. Each cleared stage gives back 30 health and one magazine.

Pickups

A glowing MP40 on the ground gives two magazines of ammo, a glowing Tommy gun gives the gun itself (or +60 rounds once you have it), and a white med-kit gives +40 health (only when you are hurt).
