Kid Icarus is an action game in which Pit climbs upward through worlds of enemies and traps. Parts of the game are played on foot and parts in flight, which keeps the pace varied.
The game is demanding, with tough enemies and a system of hearts that rewards careful spending. The music is memorable and the worlds feel distinct.
